Highland Heights is located in northern Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. As part of the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, northern Kentucky offers the attractions of a major city while providing the convenience and affordability of a smaller community.

The region’s appeal stems from its very affordable cost of living, stable economic growth, educational opportunities and a variety of cultural and recreation options.

More than 40 universities, colleges and technical schools are located in the greater Cincinnati metro area, including the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University.

Cincinnati is home to 10 Fortune 500 companies, including Procter & Gamble, The Kroger Company, GE Aviation, Convergys and Chiquita Brands International. Among the area's 30 general hospitals are the world-renowned Children's Hospital Medical Center, Shriners Burn Hospital, Christ Hospital and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The community's appreciation for the arts is well-known, with more than 100 museums and galleries. Cincinnati is also known throughout the world for its zoo.

Cincinnati is home to seven major sports venues, two major league teams (the United States' first professional baseball team, the Reds, and professional football's Bengals), six minor league teams, and hosts five college institutions with their own sports teams.
